ST. LOUIS – Thursday, November 10 marks the Marine Corps’ 247th anniversary.
On this day in 1775, the Continental Congress approved a resolution calling for two battalions of marines to defend the country during the American Revolution.
It established the Continental Marines and established the U.S. Marine Corps.
