We will see Jessica Andrade in early 2023 as she is set to take on Lauren Murphy at UFC 283 in Brazil. While Murphy will be a nice test, I see this as more of a tune-up fight for Andrade as she likely prepares for a title fight in the very near future as Valentina Shevchenko has ran though the division and is looking to lap everybody. Andrade is one of the biggest threats to a Shevchenko title defense as she is part of a short list of championship worthy fighters. Since her last fight she is on a two fight win streak since her last title fight with wins over Cynthia Calvillo and Amanda Lemos. I expect a big year for Andrade and I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends with a late 2023 title shot rematch.
